Tikkit generates a unique registration link for every event. Share it on WhatsApp, Instagram, or email — guests register in under 60 seconds.
The invite is the first impression your event makes. A well-distributed event link means full rooms; a sloppy one means empty seats. Here's how to do it right.
Your Event Link — The One Thing That Does Everything
After you publish your event, you'll find your event link on the dashboard. It looks like: tikkitx.com/events/your-event-name
This single link does everything:
- Shows your event details and description
- Lets guests register (free or paid)
- Sends them a confirmation with their QR code
- Adds them to your guest list in real time
Copy it. Keep it handy. Every invitation method below uses this link.
Sharing on WhatsApp — Pakistan's #1 Channel
Let's be direct: WhatsApp is where Pakistani event attendance is won or lost. If your event isn't being shared there, it isn't being found.
Best practices for WhatsApp:
- Broadcast lists, not group messages. A broadcast goes to each contact as an individual message — less noise, more personal. Group chats bury your link under replies.
- Lead with the hook, not the details. "Lahore's first AI + Design workshop is happening May 3 — seats are going fast" lands better than "Please join our event."
- Follow with the link. One clean link. No screenshots of screenshots.
- Send a reminder. 48 hours before, send a brief follow-up: "A few seats left — registration closes tonight."
WhatsApp Status works well too. Pin your event cover image as a status with the link in your bio or a "Reply to register" caption.
Sharing on Instagram
Instagram is about visual interest and social proof. Use it to build awareness before people click the link.
What works:
- Stories with link sticker — upload your event cover or a short teaser video, add the Tikkit event link as a Link sticker
- Countdown sticker — add a countdown to event day. When followers tap "Remind Me," they get notified automatically
- Feed post — share the event cover with a clear caption: what it is, when, where, and "link in bio to register"
- Reels — a 15–30 second clip of a past event, your venue, or even just you talking about the event performs very well for reach
Update your bio link to your Tikkit event URL during the promotional window.
Sharing via Email — For Corporate and Professional Events
For conferences, corporate dinners, training sessions, and workshops, email is the most professional channel and gets the highest quality registrations.
A good invitation email has:
- A subject line that says exactly what it is: "Invitation: Annual Leadership Summit — 15 May, Karachi"
- Two or three sentences on what the event is and who it's for
- One clear call to action: Register here (linked to your Tikkit event page)
- Date, time, and venue repeated in the footer
- Your contact email for questions
Keep it short. Nobody reads a 400-word invitation email. They scan it, click, and register — or they don't.
What Guests See When They Open the Link
When someone opens your Tikkit event link, they see:
- Your event cover image
- Event name, date, time, and location
- Your description
- Available ticket types (free or paid)
- A registration form that takes under 60 seconds to complete
After registering, they receive an instant confirmation email with their unique QR code. They can also save it to their phone from their Tikkit profile.
Managing Your Guest List
Your dashboard shows every registration in real time:
- Confirmed — registered and paid (if applicable)
- Pending — started registration but not completed
- Checked in — scanned at the event on the day
You can search by name, export the full list as a CSV, and see registration trends over time.
If you need to manually add someone (a VIP, a speaker, a team member), you can add them directly from the guest list page without them going through the public registration flow.
Sending Reminders
Registration numbers always spike after reminders. Send two:
- 5 days before the event — "You're registered for [Event Name] — here's everything you need to know." Include time, venue, parking instructions, what to bring.
- 24 hours before — short and direct: "See you tomorrow at [time]. Your QR code is below." Attach their QR code again.
Tikkit sends these automatically if you enable event reminders. You can also add a custom message to both.
FAQ
Can I send personalised invitations to specific people? Yes. You can share your event link directly in a personal message on any platform — the recipient registers just like any other guest.
What if I want to limit who can register? Set your event to "private" — it won't appear on the public explore page, and only people with the link can register.
Can guests transfer their ticket to someone else? Guests can view their QR code on their profile. Ticket transfers are currently handled manually by contacting the organiser.
How do I know if someone actually registered after I sent them the link? Your dashboard updates in real time. You'll see every new registration as it happens, with the registrant's name and contact details.
What if someone loses their confirmation email? They can log into their Tikkit account and find their QR code under "My Events." You can also look them up in your guest list and check them in manually on the day.
