Creating an event on Tikkit takes under 10 minutes. Here's exactly how.
Whether you're hosting a workshop in Lahore, a corporate dinner in Karachi, or a wellness retreat in the mountains near Islamabad — the setup process is the same. Clean, fast, and designed to get your event live without the headache.
Before You Start
Have these ready before you open Tikkit:
- Event name — what you're calling it
- Date and time — start and end
- Location — venue name and address, or "Online" if it's virtual
- Capacity — maximum number of attendees
- Ticket price — or leave it free
- A short description — what is this event, who should come, what will they experience
That's it. You don't need a logo or a full marketing plan. You can always edit details after publishing.
Step 1 — Create Your Organiser Account
Go to tikkitx.com and click Get started. Fill in your name, email, and a password. You'll be asked whether you're signing up as a guest or organiser — choose Organiser.
Once you're in, you'll land on your dashboard. This is your command centre for everything: events, registrations, check-ins, and reports.
Tip: Complete your organiser profile before creating your first event. A profile photo and short bio make your event page look professional and build trust with potential attendees.
Step 2 — Fill In Your Event Details
Click Create Event from your dashboard. You'll see a form with the following fields:
- Event name — keep it clear and specific. "Digital Marketing Workshop — Lahore" outperforms "Workshop #3"
- Date and time — set start time and end time
- Location — type the venue name. Add the full address so attendees can navigate directly
- Description — this is your sales copy. Tell people what they'll get out of attending. Use short paragraphs. Bullet points work well here
- Category — pick the category that best fits (music, tech, wellness, corporate, etc.)
- Cover image — upload a 1600×900 image. Events with strong cover images get significantly more clicks from the explore page
Step 3 — Set Ticket Types and Pricing
You can offer:
- Free tickets — anyone who registers gets a confirmed spot
- Paid tickets — set a price in PKR; Tikkit handles collection via JazzCash, EasyPaisa, or card
- Multiple tiers — e.g., Early Bird at Rs. 1,500 and Standard at Rs. 2,000
For each ticket type, set:
- Name (e.g., "General Admission", "VIP", "Early Bird")
- Price
- Quantity available
- Sale end date (optional — creates urgency)
If your event is free but you still want confirmed attendance rather than walk-ins, use free tickets. People who register are far more likely to show up than those who just intend to.
Step 4 — Upload a Cover Image
This is worth doing properly. Your cover image is the first thing potential attendees see on the explore page and when the link is shared on WhatsApp or Instagram.
Use an image that:
- Shows energy or context (people, the venue, the activity)
- Has minimal text on it — let the event title do the talking
- Is at least 1600×900px and under 5MB
If you don't have a custom photo yet, a clean graphic with your event name and date is better than a blank placeholder.
Step 5 — Publish and Get Your Event Link
When you're happy with everything, hit Publish. Your event is now live.
Tikkit generates a unique event URL that looks like: tikkitx.com/events/your-event-name
Copy this link. This is what you'll share everywhere — WhatsApp, Instagram bio, LinkedIn, email. Every time someone clicks it, they land on your event page and can register in under 60 seconds.
What Happens Next
Once your event is live:
- Registrations start appearing in your dashboard in real time
- Each registered attendee gets a confirmation email with their unique QR code
- You can see who's confirmed, who's pending, and manage your guest list at any time
- On event day, use Tikkit's check-in feature to scan QR codes — even offline
You can edit your event details at any time before the event. If you need to cancel, Tikkit handles the notification to all registered attendees.
